There are two ways that you can participate with the Wolf Recon Airsoft Team. Each one has a list of requirements which must be followed in order to be a part of any aspect, big or small, with the Wolf Recon Airsoft Team.
Recruit
A recruit is an airsoft player that either plays casually and cannot commit a lot of time or resources to a team, a player who just wants to play instead of be part of the organization, or a visiting/new player who participates in airsoft games with the team. Recruits do have a small list of requirements (above the normal ones, such as wearing safety equipment) before they are allowed to play.
-
Team Waiver must be filled out
A recruit is allowed to play with our team members during practice, but are not part of our team. They are allowed to use a loaner gun for one or two games for free and may rent out a gun for a set price for games after that. Recruits may not use team equipment, they cannot vote or take part in team decisions, and do not have a guaranteed spot for events. Recruits will usually fill in the role of OpFor (opposing forces) during our practices games. |

Team Member
A team member is an airsoft player that has decided to "step it up a bit" and be a part of something. They have shown dedication to the sport of airsoft and to the Wolf Recon Airsoft Team. Team members are able and willing to take on more responsibility and invest time and resources into an organization. Team members are usually recruits who want to take the game a bit more seriously. They gain all the rewards for being a full member. The list of requirements to be a team member is larger than that of a recruit.
-
Required Equipment:
Radio with earpiece, canteen/CamelPak/hydration device, safety equipment (goggles), weapon and accessories, non-black and non-bright colored tactical gear
-
Required Uniform: UPDATED 1/1/08
Recruits must purchase and own a pair of woodland and tri-color desert uniforms. They are then required to wear one of these uniforms at events and practices. Once they have shown dedication to the team, they can earn the priviledge of being able to purchase and wear whatever uniform of their choosing. Woodland and Tri-Color uniforms must have a team patch, name tape, and US flag for patches. Priviledge uniforms must be RAID style (pockets on sleeves) with the same patches.

Team Waiver must be filled out

Wolf Recon Tactical Doctrine printed, read, and learned

Show dedication, be respectful, be teachable, and show good sportsmanship
A team member is a full fledged member of the Wolf Recon Airsoft Team. They are allowed to use the loaner guns at a discounted price or for free. Team members may use pieces of team equipment or borrow items from the team itself. They are allowed to cast their vote during team polls, may take part in team decisions, use the team exercise equipment, and will have a guaranteed spot to an airsoft event (if there is room in vehicles). Team members are also eligible for all discounts, sponsorships, and rewards for being a full fledged member of the team. |
Attendance Policy: UPDATED 1/1/08
All Wolf Recon members are expected to understand and follow the attendance policy. In order to remain active, a Wolf Recon team member must attend at least 1 team function in one month: practices, meetings, or away games. If unable to do so, the team member then moves to a Reserve status. During the month the team member is in Reserve, that member loses all voting and member priviledges. To return to active status, a player simply needs to show up to a practice or game. If unable to attend any team functions while in Reserve for an excessive amount of time, that member then forfeits their membership status and removed from the team. Being a Wolf Recon member takes dedication and commitment so at least a moderate level of attendance is expected.
NCOs and any leadership members of the team must show additional committment to the team and are required to attend at least 2 team functions in one month. An NCO moving to reserve status forfeits their command rank and is returned to the appropriate Private rank they held before taking on a leadership rank.
Membership Dues: UPDATED 1/1/08
Full members of Wolf Recon are required to pay monthly dues. The honest truth is that this team needs money to function. The funds generated by the monthly membership dues will be used to buy the team new things. A few examples are the team patches, team shirts, team hats, training props, extra gear, etc. Full members and reserve members are required to pay $30 per year for dues. NCOs and leaders on Wolf Recon are expended to put more into the team and are required to pay $50 per year for dues. Recruits are required to pay this amount before becoming a full member of Wolf Recon.
Tactics and Training: UPDATED 1/1/08
Wolf Recon attempts to maintain a high level of quality when it comes to its members. All Wolf Recon team members are required to consistently train and learn. Practices, training, physical conditioning, and reviewing tactics are just as normal as guns and equipment on this team. Members are expected to continue to train and try to better themselves no matter how experienced they are in military tactics or the sport of airsoft.
